At Eco Energy LED Ltd., we have worked with several LED manufacturers to have flexible and waterproof strip lighting produced which exceeds the performance of generally available product by large amounts. This enables this versatile light source to be used in places where previously, it just would not have been up to the job.
This just left us with the problem that, applied straight to a surface, the light strips can be vulnerable, and the “line of dots” visual effect is not to everyone’s taste. Our solution was to design a family of housings to allow the LED strip lighting, in whatever power rating and colour is needed, in such a way that the strip becomes invisible, is protected, and removes the unsightly glare that often blights the use of this form of lighting. This enables us to take full advantage of the very small size to insert a source of light into places where it would not have been possible before.
The SlimLight comes in satin silver or black, and is so slim that it can be used even under thin glass shelving to provide discreet and effective lighting while the source of the light is virtually invisible.
We keep finding new uses for this simple and versatile housing, and it’s uses are only limited by our imagination. We can produce these fittings, complete with your choice of LED strip and chosen length of cable at short notice, and to exactly fit your needs up to a maximum length of 3 metres. It is easy to fit as it comes with a self-adhesive backing and the ends are pierced for an additional screw fixing. We are happy to advise you about your project and can easily calculate which power supply unit will suit the job.
Safe
SlimLights run on an ultra-safe 12 volts DC and are waterproof. The design of the housing protects the strip lighting from most impacts, and they run cool, so will never burn fingers.
Tailor-made
You can choose the length, colour of housing ( silver or black satin), colour of light, and high or low power, as well as length of cable. We can supply you with off-the-shelf standard lengths, but why not make life easier and order a SlimLight that is exactly right for the job?
SlimLights will run for 50,000 hours and the only maintenance needed is the occasional dusting.
Even a high-power SlimLight uses just 3.5 watts for each 500mm length. Even if you forget to turn it off it will not make a dent in your energy bill.
SlimLights use less than 20% of the energy of traditional alternative. No hazardous materials are used during manufacture, and it will outlast all conventional forms of lighting by a factor of ten. Short of staying in the dark, you could not do more for your planet.
